Whats Been Happening?
Hello Again!
Obviously it has been far too quiet around here lately. Quiet is a polite way of wording it.
So what has been happening for Dive Mistress in 2010?
Well 2010 actually started off with a hiss and a roar.
I’ll be adding a trip report from the New Year liveaboard trip – of which one of the major highlights was the dance party that was held in Riko Riko Cave. You will get the idea from the report – but I have to say that surfacing from a night dive, coming up to 3 metres and seeing the lights glowing in the cave and hearing some of the music made it the best New Years ever!
Before I started back at work, Bronson and I spent a few days with Sheila from Scotland, teaching her to dive.
I will write up a bit of a report from our great day out at the Poor Knights with Noel and Paul from Yukon Charters and post some photographs for Sheila as I promised that I would (and she paid me in chocolate).
Then it all went to heck.
I damaged my shoulder muscle quite badly and spent 5 weeks in physio and was not allowed to dive.
Do you know how hard that was?!?! VERY!
The next diving excursion came about as part of a weekend away – on a yacht.
And we headed overboard on a glorious Saturday morning to do some scallop diving. I wrote a trip report and posted it on my personal blog : HERE but I’ll be adding a little more information and I have a couple of videos from the trip that I will post as well.
And then following on from that ….. an addition to “The Best Weekend Ever” file was the inaugural Fourth Element Dive Adventures New Zealand Wreck Expedition to the HMNZS Canterbury and the Rainbow Warrior.
Well the swell did not play ball for the weekend and we did not get to dive the Rainbow Warrior – but we did get four dives on the Canterbury and being the first time that I had dived her – I had a brilliant time. And it was free!!
All I had to do was take photographs, video and write a trip report. Well okay! So I wrote a report and again posted it on my personal blog HERE and Fourth Element also posted my trip report and my videos on their site HERE
